The trouble with any spiel is that it
either ends up rather bland or self indulgent. So, I have opted for the self indulgent; I am trying to be
human in the face of death, attempting to face my own mortality and trying not to run away. Trying to keep
alive ‘a rumour of God’ and belief in a Crucified God is often the only thing that makes sense to me.
I am in my tenth year as Chaplain at St. Michael’s Hospice, Basingstoke and love
being part of a team. My family and friends keep me earthed and my two year old grandson takes me
to heaven. I am hopelessly addicted to Liverpool FC and unhealthily interested in the Aussie soap "Neighbours".
