UKBHC Code of Conduct 2010, revised 2014

[download pdf version]

The UKBHC Code of Conduct is based on our 2005 version and is now endorsed by all the UK chaplaincy associations.

The Code sets out the professional standards of conduct expected of chaplains by the AHPCC, CHCC and SACH complementing the policies and rules of employing health bodies, which apply to all staff.

The Code describes the standards of chaplains in relationship to those in their care. Chaplains have a duty of care towards service users of their employing health body: patients, their visitors, staff, volunteers, and other members of the public who have relevant business with the health body.
